Software Engineer


We are seeking a mid to senior C/C++ developer to add to our protocol feature extraction team. As a member of this team you will design and implement mission critical systems that enable our groundbreaking ProtectWise Grid. You are energetic and passionate about solving massively large data processing challenges. You will be responsible for helping to extract and organize information sent over various network protocols. You are excited about writing robust, stable, and efficient code in a multithreaded environment.

You will:

  • Enhance the systems that extract protocol features and attributes

  • Build automated unit and functional testing to ensure robust product behavior

  • Work with Product Management on understanding and refining features

  • Be a thought leader within the entire engineering team to solve difficult problems

  • Development in (and working knowledge of) Linux environment

Inside Sales Representative


We are seeking a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative that will be responsible for following up and processing leads, driving the growth of the ProtectWise sales pipeline, and helping to ensure our success in the marketplace. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.  You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, providing demos, qualifying prospects, and moving deals through the sales cycle.


  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting calls and emails
  • Maintain high activity with the intent to qualify customers, provide demos, and create pipeline growth for Field Sales
  • Record and document all calls and communications in ProtectWise’s Customer Relations Management tool ( to identify trends for improvement and track activity
  • Update and maintain Sales database as appropriate, including data discovery tied to initiatives
  • Outbound telephone-based prospecting activities to support sales pipeline growth
  • Research accounts, identify decision makers, develop pipeline of qualified customers for platform trials
  • Support Field Sales in managing opportunities and supporting prospects
  • Report on weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven inside sales experience with an emphasis on technology, SaaS, or software sales
  • Experience with use of customer relationship management databases, specifically
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Sales Engineer


As a ProtectWise Sales Engineer you will run the sales cycle with your sales partner and will be the face of the company to our customers. You will have all assets of the company at your disposal to ensure customer satisfaction resulting in increased revenue. You will be expected to work closely with Product Management, Customer Success, Threat Research team (including Senior Threat Hunting Analysts and Data Scientists), Engineering, Marketing, and our executives to secure successful deal closures and meet revenue goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Presenting the ProtectWise Grid and evangelizing the ProtectWise value proposition to our partners and the public
  • Creating and delivering demonstrations of the solution
  • Gathering technical requirements from the customers
  • Creating evaluation/proof of concept test plans with customers
  • Managing the evaluation process to a successful technical close leading to revenue
  • Working with your sales partner to expand revenue opportunities in your territory, upsizing and closing deals
  • Enabling the channel to be successful in growing our business by executing training programs and cultivating relationships

Ideal candidates will have prior experience selling Enterprise network threat detection and forensic security solutions including but not limited to: Network DVR, IDS/IPS, Advanced Breach Detection, Network Security Analytics, Next Gen Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Security Proxies and Caches, various threat intelligence feeds, and SIEM solutions. Candidates should also have practical experience working with routing, switching (including SPAN or Mirror configurations), and network taps/packet brokers that will be installed adjacent to the ProtectWise Sensors. Extensive administrative and scripting experience with various Cloud and Enterprise flavors of linux (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat, CentOS, Amazon Linux, etc.) is required as is experience deploying systems in Private and Public cloud environments including VMWare, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. A deep understanding of network protocols down to the packet-level and experience decoding and following transport-layer streams in tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump is required.

Technical Requirements

  • Deep understanding of network protocols and applications down to the packet level, including the use of packet decoding tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark
  • Practical knowledge of the full OSI stack, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and proxies
  • Considerable experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of UNIX/Linux systems and virtual environments (e.g. VMWare, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience with Windows environments, including Active Directory and other authentication solutions including LDAP, SAML, and 2FA solutions
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, syslog formats, and various SIEM technologies
  • Experience selling, demonstrating, installing and troubleshooting Enterprise network security products (e.g. NGFW, Proxies, IDS/IPS, Taps and packet brokers)

Other Requirements:

  • BSCS or equivalent and 8+ years of experience as a vendor or channel partner SE
  • Self motivated – always finding ways to improve our processes and increase revenue without being asked
  • Super organizational skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and very strong presentation skills, both internally and externally to all organizational levels (i.e. engineers, management, and executives)
  • Excellent problem solving skills - ability to troubleshoot complex problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often in stressful situations
  • "Whatever it takes" attitude and drive to do everything necessary to assist in closing a deal

  • Experience with companies in the enterprise network security space

Substance Designer Artist


We have an immediate need for an artist experienced in Allegorithmic Substance Designer. You will be working with a highly collaborative and experienced team on an innovative visualization platform implemented in the Unity engine. You will work closely with the Unity team, Cinema 4D Artists and UX architects in the process. The ideal candidate will be able to show examples of past work of both non animated and animated Substances—a demo reel and game industry experience is a plus. Expected work is initially 6 months with potential for further work as needed or full-time employment based on continuing product design needs.

You will:

Create Substances that will be simultaneously used in Cinema4D (for pre-rendered videos), and in Unity (for real-time use), with the Substances looking and animating identical in both software packages. Candidate does not need to know Cinema 4D or Unity but must be willing to rapidly learn both packages at the start of the project.

Requirements / Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Allegorithmic Substance Designer
  • Ability to closely replicate art direction from C4D artists
  • Self-starter that is a great communicator while working remotely
  • Some knowledge or experience with Cinema 4D is preferred but not necessary

DevOps Engineer


As a member of the DevOps team within Engineering, you will design, implement and operate mission critical systems that ensure the performance and availability of the ProtectWise platform. You will be responsible for the management of development and production environments and will contribute to productizing new software by developing installation, deployment and management scripts. You are energized and passionate about systems engineering and infrastructure as code.

You will:

  • Build the systems that deliver and support the ProtectWise Grid, ensuring the reliability and availability of the our services
  • Develop effective tooling to monitor, scale and support our cloud platform
  • Work directly with other engineers to provide requirements and feedback, particularly in the areas of improving the deployment pipeline and ensuring uptime
  • Be a thought leader within the entire engineering team
  • Work on huge, interesting problems: petabyte-scale databases, thousands of servers

Requirements / Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of development experience - you are first and foremost a coder
  • Minimum 3+ years of Linux system administration experience
  • Working knowledge of configuration management tools such Chef, Puppet, Salt or Ansible
  • Experience with Cassandra, Solr, Hadoop, Scala, Node, and the JVM is a strong plus
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field preferred

Requirements / Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years hands on production Scala development
  • 6+ years in large scale concurrent software and systems development
  • Strong working knowledge of the Akka Actor model

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
