Malware Analyst

DENVER, CO

As a member of the Threat Research and Analysis team, you will analyze malicious files to extract threat intelligence, track attacker methodologies and capabilities, and decode network communications. You will have the chance to research and analyze files extracted from one of the largest PCAP datastores. You have strong programming skills, understand reverse engineering practices and are passionate about discovering new threats, attacker tools and techniques.

You will:

  • Reverse engineer executables and malicious files to extract threat intelligence

  • Research evolving malware families

  • Discover new attack TTPs and develop strategies for detecting attacker groups

  • Develop routines for interpreting custom and common network protocols

Requirements/Experience

  • Ability to analyze x86 and x64 binaries

  • Ability to analyze shellcode

  • Ability to analyze packed and obfuscated code

  • Ability to analyze Mach-O binaries is a plus

  • Strong experience using IDA Pro disassembler as well as user and kernel-mode debuggers

  • Knowledgeable in the use of dynamic and network analysis tools for malware analysis.

  • Ability to reverse engineer binaries written in C/C++, Delphi, NET, Flash, and Compiled VBScript

  • Understanding of software exploits

  • Working knowledge of popular malware families

  • Thorough understanding of network protocols and experience creating scripts to decode custom network protocols

  • Strong knowledge of common obfuscation and encryption techniques

Threat Researcher

DENVER, CO

As a member of the Threat Research & Analysis team, you will be responsible for developing innovative threat detection techniques utilizing forward leaning technologies. You will have the chance to conduct research and hunt for threats on one of the world’s largest PCAP haystacks. You are analytical, detail oriented, and passionate about redefining the threat detection status quo.

You will:

  • Design and implement methods to detect attacker activity in network traffic on both a tactical and strategic level.

  • Perform network-based forensics on a massive PCAP dataset.

  • Develop network indicators through research, malware analysis, and network forensics.

  • Manage, validate, and classify threat intelligence from a variety of sources.

  • Research new threats and attacker techniques.

  • Blog and conduct webinars about interesting findings and innovative detection techniques.

  • Hunt for new threats and track high level attacker trends.

Requirements/Experience

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and network architecture.

  • Ability to analyze raw PCAP data to validate security events, interpret network traffic, and extract indicators.

Sales Engineer - Southeast

SOUTHEAST REGION (AMERICAS)

As a ProtectWise Sales Engineer you will run the sales cycle with your sales partner and will be the face of the company to our customers. You will have all assets of the company at your disposal to ensure customer satisfaction resulting in increased revenue. You will be expected to work closely with Product Management, Customer Success, Threat Research team (including Senior Threat Hunting Analysts and Data Scientists), Engineering, Marketing, and our executives to secure successful deal closures and meet revenue goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Presenting the ProtectWise Grid and evangelizing the ProtectWise value proposition to our partners and the public
  • Creating and delivering demonstrations of the solution
  • Gathering technical requirements from the customers
  • Creating evaluation/proof of concept test plans with customers
  • Managing the evaluation process to a successful technical close leading to revenue
  • Working with your sales partner to expand revenue opportunities in your territory, upsizing and closing deals
  • Enabling the channel to be successful in growing our business by executing training programs and cultivating relationships

Ideal candidates will have prior experience selling Enterprise network threat detection and forensic security solutions including but not limited to: Network DVR, IDS/IPS, Advanced Breach Detection, Network Security Analytics, Next Gen Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Security Proxies and Caches, various threat intelligence feeds, and SIEM solutions. Candidates should also have practical experience working with routing, switching (including SPAN or Mirror configurations), and network taps/packet brokers that will be installed adjacent to the ProtectWise Sensors. Extensive administrative and scripting experience with various Cloud and Enterprise flavors of linux (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat, CentOS, Amazon Linux, etc.) is required as is experience deploying systems in Private and Public cloud environments including VMWare, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. A deep understanding of network protocols down to the packet-level and experience decoding and following transport-layer streams in tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump is required.

Extensive domestic travel within the territory is required. Some International travel may be required as necessary but will not be frequent.

Technical Requirements

  • Deep understanding of network protocols and applications down to the packet level, including the use of packet decoding tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark
  • Practical knowledge of the full OSI stack, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and proxies
  • Considerable experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of UNIX/Linux systems and virtual environments (e.g. VMWare, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience with Windows environments, including Active Directory and other authentication solutions including LDAP, SAML, and 2FA solutions
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, syslog formats, and various SIEM technologies
  • Experience selling, demonstrating, installing and troubleshooting Enterprise network security products (e.g. NGFW, Proxies, IDS/IPS, Taps and packet brokers)

Other Requirements:

  • BSCS or equivalent and 8+ years of experience as a vendor or channel partner SE
  • Self motivated – always finding ways to improve our processes and increase revenue without being asked
  • Super organizational skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and very strong presentation skills, both internally and externally to all organizational levels (i.e. engineers, management, and executives)
  • Excellent problem solving skills - ability to troubleshoot complex problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often in stressful situations
  • "Whatever it takes" attitude and drive to do everything necessary to assist in closing a deal

Substance Designer Artist

DENVER, CO

We have an immediate need for an artist experienced in Allegorithmic Substance Designer. You will be working with a highly collaborative and experienced team on an innovative visualization platform implemented in the Unity engine. You will work closely with the Unity team, Cinema 4D Artists and UX architects in the process. The ideal candidate will be able to show examples of past work of both non animated and animated Substances—a demo reel and game industry experience is a plus. Expected work is initially 6 months with potential for further work as needed or full-time employment based on continuing product design needs.

You will:

Create Substances that will be simultaneously used in Cinema4D (for pre-rendered videos), and in Unity (for real-time use), with the Substances looking and animating identical in both software packages. Candidate does not need to know Cinema 4D or Unity but must be willing to rapidly learn both packages at the start of the project.

Requirements / Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Allegorithmic Substance Designer
  • Ability to closely replicate art direction from C4D artists
  • Self-starter that is a great communicator while working remotely
